Midwest Partnership recently named the new President that will now lead the organization’s Executive Board of Directors, and it is attorney Warren Varley of Stuart.
Varley says the Board works closely with Executive Director Chad Schreck to come up with business development ideas and plans for Midwest Partnership’s four counties of Adair, Audubon, Greene and Guthrie, and he says he’s looking forward to helping the organization continue to make a positive impact on our local communities.
“I certainly see this as a period of opportunity as the rest of the national economy starts to (ramp) up. We have opportunities here for developing businesses because we have a highly educated workforce. We’re also looking at ways we can partner with area schools to help produce workers that our businesses need and will help our region to prosper economically.”
Varley says Midwest Partnership’s Board will continue to work heavily with smaller development groups in the local area like SEED in Stuart and PRIDE in Panora, to implement a cohesive business development plan in the region.
Varley’s fellow Executive Board members for 2014 include Vice President Brett Irlmeier of the Audubon State Bank, and Treasurer John Rutledge of the Lake Panorama Association.
