It’s Greene County at Clarinda in Class 2A District 8 football tonight. Both teams opened district play with comfortable wins a week ago, so both are 1-0 in the district. Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams are 3-1 overall while the Cardinals are 1-3, but the three teams Clarinda lost to have a combined 10-2 record.

Greene County is averaging nearly 40 points a game while Clarinda is at less than 17, but the difference in competition may have something to do with those numbers. Defensively, the Rams are allowing just eight points per game and the Cardinals are giving up an average of 23 per contest. Greene County has allowed just three points combined in its last three games.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. with coverage at 6:15 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
