The Greene County School Board will meet tonight.

The Board will hold a public hearing in regards to the early start date and the proposed 2014-15 calendar and they are expected to approve both following the hearing.

The Board will also discuss several items including school permits, competency based physical education, a recommendation from the school improvement advisory committee, an update on the teacher leadership compensation grant application and gate admission changes for the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.

Plus, the Board will consider approving a resolution for the revenue purpose statement of the SAVE Fund Authorized Expenditures list, a commitment of funds to the demolition of the Rippey building, revising board policies and putting the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy projects on the voter-approved certified budget.

There will also be committee and other district reports.

The meeting will be at 5:15pm in the South Grade Building in Jefferson.
