Greene County ISU Extension has an online course coming up that deals with child care.

Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says “Actions Speak Louder than Words” is a two-hour training to give primarily childcare providers ways to curb some potential bad habits and set positive examples for children.

“We all know that children love to mimic and maybe repeat some things that you didn’t mean to say. They also watch carefully on not just your words but your actions, whether that’s what you put into your mouth, how you’re physically active, making right choices for your food, have a healthier lifestyle.”

The training is $5 and childcare providers will receive two hours of credit. There are two different classes available, with the first class to be held on Tuesday from 1-3pm and the same class will be held on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm.
