The dates for the 4th Annual River to River Classic Car Road Trip across Iowa have been released.
David Darby, Executive Director for the Iowa U.S. Route 6 Tourist Association, says vintage cars will make their way from east to west across the state October 10th through the 12th later this year. Darby says cars will make their way through the towns of Dexter, Stuart, Menlo, Casey and Adair on the historic White Pole Road early Saturday afternoon on October 11th as part of the trip.
Tentative plans will have tour participants stopping for lunch at the Menlo Cafe once again, but Darby says this is subject to change.
Last year’s River to River Classic had over 200 vintage cars participate, which was triple the participation from 2012. Darby says he’s expecting an even bigger gathering this year as his Association continues to work out kinks in the tour.
