A Guthrie Center adolescent was injured in a trolley ride accident at the Guthrie County Fair and suffered serious injuries on September 4th.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Report, deputies responded to the incident at 3:45pm in Guthrie Center at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds. The adolescent, an eight-year-old male, was riding with his feet hanging off the right side of a John Deere 5115M farm tractor and the adolescents shoe was untied and got caught on the tire of the tractor which pulled him off the trailer about 15 feet and his right leg was run over by the trolley trailer going 5 miles per hour.
The adolescent suffered serious injuries and was transported by Panora EMS to Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.
