The public is invited to check out the new look of a Scranton-based business, as it celebrates its first year anniversary under new ownership.

Nicole Freiss-Schilling co-owns JV Vineyard and Retreat, formerly John’s 15 Vineyard. Freiss-Schilling says the business is named after her grandfather James Verle Bennett. After making several updates and new additions, she and her business partner Jason Truitt invites everyone to their open house today from 10am-5pm and 1-5pm tomorrow.

During the event today, there will be free tractor-pulled rides to tour the vineyards and tree house campsite, and there will be a free outdoor concert with “The High Crest” at 5pm. Attendees can enjoy touring the barn, guest rooms, new reception hall, the grape vineyard, along with petting farm animals and a kids playground both days. There is also a nine hole disc golf course and a pond that people can bring their own fishing poles and bait to fish from.

Free refreshments will be served and attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. No pre-registration is necessary.
