Dallas Center – Grimes competed in one of their most challenging meets of their young season on Thursday up in Ames, but they were able to pass the test with flying colors, as they got a team first place finish out of the fourteen teams competing as well as a first place performance out of senior runner Aiden Ramsey.

Ramsey was spectacular on the course, as he was able to finish with a time of 15 minutes and 14 seconds, finishing 44 seconds ahead of the next closest runner. Ramsey was able to help spearhead a top tier attack from the Mustangs, as sophomore Tate McDermott was able to grab a 5th place performance with a time of 16 minutes and 13 seconds. The next four Mustangs came in 10-13th place, with sophomore AJ Angus 10th with 16 minutes 33 seconds, 11th Jacob Ewers at 16 minutes 33 seconds, Jack Every 12th at 16 minutes and 36 seconds, and Ben Every at 13th with 16 minutes and 39 seconds.

For DCG, they will have the weekend off from racing before returning to the course on Monday when they compete against multiple schools up at Ballard.
