With the new school year officially underway, a new elementary building in Adel is full of students, and the community will have the opportunity to view it soon.
The Meadow View Elementary building was recently completed ahead of the start of the 2021-2022 school year for the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District. The district will be hosting an opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. September 16th followed by an open house.
The ceremony and open house will feature several speakers, including Superintendent Greg Dufoe and Meadow View Elementary Principal Jodi Banse who will give brief comments on the opening of the new building by the main entrance followed with a ribbon cutting.
Following the opening ceremonies ,community members will be invited to tour the facility and enjoy cookies and lemonade in the cafeteria until 7 p.m. The elementary serves approximately 500 students for second, third and fourth graders.
