It is that time of year again for high school homecoming and the Perry School District is preparing to celebrate all this week.
There are many activities for the Perry community to take part in, including a parade on Wednesday, and a junior class cookout, among other things. There will also be activities for the student body to enjoy and Senior Class President Nubia Torres describes the atmosphere of the students.
“We are all super excited to be back to semi-normal. I know it’s been really difficult this past year trying to do things we would normally do but honestly everything has been looking good. I feel very confident about Friday.”
Torres tells Raccoon Valley Radio she is looking forward to a great week of homecoming activities, and for her senior year, despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“I’m very excited considering it’s my senior year and now that we can start doing some things like we used to do, I am beyond excited for this week.”
The Perry Homecoming Week will officially kick off on Tuesday and will culminate on Friday with the football game against the Clarke Indians, with the homecoming dance following the game in the high school commons.
