adm-7

Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers volleyball is opening up their Raccoon River Conference play tonight, when they host the Ballard Bombers in Adel. The Tigers come into the match with a 2-1 record and Ballard at 1-1, as ADM hopes that they can put together a strong performance in front of their home fans.

The Tigers were solid in their tournament last week as they were able to pick up wins against Algona and Newton, as the Tigers were able to find some positives during their first three games. Sophomore Merissa Gerlemen was able to lead the Tigers in kills through three games with 14, junior Alexa Seidl was able to add 10. Sophomore Madison Siefken has been able to add 46 assists.

Ballard won the matchup between these two schools last year by three sets to none, as it was the first time that Ballard was able to beat ADM since at least 2008. The Tigers will be looking for a little bit of revenge tonight, with the big focuses being on continuing to be accurate on attacks, moving well defensively, and trying to put together good stretches of volleyball where they can go on minor and major runs.

First tip tonight from Adel will be at approximately 7 o’clock as the Tigers will be looking to put together a strong performance that hopefully will allow to start 1-0 in conference play.
