A Casey man was sentenced to prison for a November 2020 incident in Council Bluffs.
According to the Southern District Court of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 36-year-old Dale Lee Waldroupe pled guilty to felonies for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a firearm during and in relation to drug trafficking. He was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison and will be followed by five years of supervised release.
The charges were from a car accident Waldroupe was involved in and fled the scene in November of 2020. Waldroupe was then located by law enforcement with 50 grams of methamphetamine, a drug item, and a stolen firearm.
