The Adel City Council approved various traffic regulations at the new Meadow View Elementary at their regular meeting this past Monday. 

The Council approved the creation of a 65-foot no parking section at the school’s entrances and exits, a four-way stop at South 15th Street and Penoach Street with 65-foot no parking sections from each of the stop signs and no parking on the Penoach Street Extension. 

Also, the Council approved the approving and authorizing execution of the amended and restated infrastructure reimbursement agreement between the City of Adel and Cramer and Associates and denied the ADM Soccer Clubs request for reduction or elimination of the Club’s water bill or lease payment citing the need to maintain water rates to support ongoing major project debts and the lease allowing the control of the amount of water used.

The Council also approved the adoption of plans specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the Southbridge Lift Station Improvements lift station and force main projects.

Additionally, the Council voted to reconsider the approval of making an award of construction contract for the Southbridge Lift Station Improvements as McClure Engineering is awaiting further bid qualification information for both bid packages. 

Finally, the Council approved the preliminary plat for Southbridge Plat 7 and set a public hearing date of 6 p.m. September 14th for the rezoning and amendment of Southbridge Plat 3.
