This is your last chance to register for this weekend’s Wild Fire program with the Dallas County Conservation Board.
A continuance of their bow drill workshop last fall, this new program will teach participants additional survival skills.
Attendees will learn how to build a bow drill and use it to start a fire in case they are ever in the wilderness without a lighter or matches.
The group will venture out to the Keuhn Conservation Area Sunday afternoon from 1-4 to find their own materials to build the tool and learn additional skills such as tree species and how to read light and shadows, moisture and decay.
There is no cost to participate but pre-registration is required. To reserve your spot call 465-3577.
