The Iowa State Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of 310th Street and A Avenue in Carroll County at 4:20pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say 20 year-old Tyler James Long of Coon Rapids was traveling westbound on 310th Street in Greene County when he didn’t stop at a posted stop sign and struck a 2005 Buick LES on the driver’s side of 36 year-old Amber Helene Kromrie of Guthrie Center.  Kromrie’s vehicle ended up in the west ditch facing north and Long’s 2005 Chevrolet SLV spun around and stopped on the roadway facing east.

The State Patrol reports that Kromrie was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll by Coon Rapids Rescue and the extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.  Long was not injured in the accident.  The report shows that both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

Both vehicles were reported as total losses and Long was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and failure to yield the right of way.
