As school districts and families prepare to head back to school, there will be an event to help out this week in Perry. 

It is Back To School Night at the Perry Farmers Market from 4-7 p.m. this Thursday at Josh Davis Plaza. The event will feature special guests from Des Moines Area Community College VanKirk Career Academy, Perry Public Library and St. Pat’s Catholic School, among others. 

Also, the Perry Booster Club will be selling Bluejay apparel, the Perry High School Junior Class will be selling snow cones to raise money for prom and Perry Vocal Music will be selling produce and baked goods for a fundraiser for their New York trip. 

Those attending can also bring school supplies to the Perry Chamber of Commerce tent as part of their School Supply Drive.
