A Jefferson woman was arrested last week for drunk driving.
According to court documents, a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Gallop Road at 1:59am on Thursday, August 12th. During the stop, the deputy noticed a strong alcohol odor coming from the driver.
The report shows 29-year-old Jessica Duong agreed to a field sobriety test and the deputy determined she was too impaired to drive. Duong also agreed to a breathalyzer test and her blood alcohol concentration level was 0.214-percent. As she was being arrested, the deputy noticed damage to the vehicle she was driving, and claimed she wasn’t involved in an accident but that the damage came from somewhere else.
During the investigation, the deputy found out the vehicle belonged to another individual, who told the deputy Duong did not have permission to drive the vehicle. Duong was charged with a Class D Felony for second degree criminal mischief, two aggravated misdemeanors for her second OWI and operating a vehicle without owner’s consent, a serious misdemeanor for driving with license was revoked and a simple misdemeanor for an open container of alcohol. She was booked into the Greene County Jail.
