With the upcoming school year less than three weeks away, a reminder today that Iowa shoppers can purchase some items sales tax free.
The tax-free weekend ends at midnight today. Customers can purchase any clothing or shoes that are priced under $100. The Iowa Department of Revenue holds the annual Sales Tax Holiday the first Friday and Saturday in August as a way to help people save money while getting ready for school, and promote shopping as small businesses.
