Jed Magee doing another Lincoln program in 2021

Tomorrow is a free program of a former president at the Greene County Historical Museum in Jefferson.

Jefferson resident Jed Magee is an expert on former president Abraham Lincoln and will be the guest speaker of “Lincoln’s Learning and His Mentors” at 2pm at the historical museum. Magee is a Dunkerton native and moved to Jefferson to practice law. He then became a Iowa District Court judge before retiring in 2015.  

Magee first became a fan of Lincoln when his seventh grade teacher had him do research on the 16th U.S. president. From there, Magee started a collection of Lincoln memorabilia. 

The free Sunday program will include refreshments and Magee will answer questions from the audience. No pre-registration is necessary.
