U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne
With the Infrastructure Bill coming together in the U.S. Senate, one lawmaker finds the importance of biofuels for the bill.
Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative Cindy Axne is appreciative of what the White House and Senators are doing to create the bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, but she is pushing for critical investments in the biofuels sector as well. Axne says that biofuels are an energy source that could help everyone around the country.
“This is a homegrown, clean energy source. We have the opportunity to expand it and help states reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. California wants to use more ethanol. We need to get it out there.”
She says that biofuels would address climate change with what Iowa produces and needs for infrastructure.
