Adair Casey Guthrie Center’s High School football team has seen an increase in kids playing football as camp has started. 

ACGC has 48 players this year and 15 seniors, the most under Head Coach Cody Matthewson. Matthewson says before this year the most they have had is 43 players and that they have been growing every year since 2018. He says the number of players are not everything. 

“Again the numbers are good and help but I just need 11 offensive, 11 defensive, 11 special teams to show up and do their job. We have played games with 20 people before so numbers are not everything.”

ACGC High School’s first football game is August 27th against Greene County.
