As the summer winds down, one organization is hosting a special event for Greene County youth.
The Webb House is hosting its annual Water Park Party to kick-off the new school year. Organizer Jim North says the event will take place this Friday in the parking lot. From 10am-noon and from 1-3:30pm will be preschool aged kids, and there will be wading pools and other water activities for them to enjoy.
Anyone 5th grade and younger can come between 4 and 5:30pm and those who are 6th-8th grades from 6-9pm, where there will be a 15-foot inflatable water slide, circular table tennis and other amenities inside the Webb House, which is located adjacent to the First United Methodist Church. Plus, from 6-9pm there will be free hotdogs, burgers, s’mores and water.
North says the Webb House is a facility that provides a safe and entertaining environment for middle school kids. Following the event, the Webb House will be open Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30pm for 5th-8th graders and Fridays from 7-9pm for 6th-8th graders.
