The highly anticipated Perry High School wrestling camp will launch officially today at Perry High School. The two-day event will start Monday and feature an overnight element and will carry over into Tuesday. The camp will be broken into two age groups with 1st through 8th grade and freshmen through senior level in high school. The camp will be lead by current Perry coach Chris Dardanes. There will be individual sessions with NCAA champion Drew Foster, NCAA All American Luke Zilverberg and former Hawkeye wrestler Pablo Ubasa. All sessions will consist of drilling the position followed by live goes. Hand fighting, takedowns and live wrestling on day one with bottom wrestling, top wrestling and tilts and pins and live showcase on day 2. The camp will be limited to 50 kids for each age division.
