Thrashing Bee in Jefferson

July 24, 2021 - July 25, 2021

A special two-day event returns to the Jefferson area where attendees are driven back through time to the early years of farming.

The Old-Fashioned Threshing Bee is a historic farm reenactment that is taking place Saturday and Sunday at Pleasant Prairie Farm/Foster Farms in Jefferson. The main feature for both days is the demonstrations of plowing and threshing oats by using gas and steam-powered equipment. The threshing times on Saturday are at 10am and 2pm and Sunday at 1pm. Saturday will also be one steam plowing demonstration at 4pm.

Additionally, there will be a tractor ride at 7am on Sunday and anyone with a tractor is welcomed to join the ride. Plus, there will be an antique tractor and truck show on the grounds all weekend. The event is free and open to the public. Pleasant Prairie Farm is located at 1176 M Avenue in Jefferson.
