For those who would like to learn more about working from home, an upcoming certificate course can help out. 

Dallas County Extension is offering a Remote Work Certificate Course that will give those attending the tools and skills needed to make the switch from on-site learning to a virtual career or freelancing. 

The cost for the program is $249 and those wanting to register for the course that will run from August 2nd-28th will need to register for the program by July 28th. The workshops run from 2-3 p.m. or 7-8 p.m. 

Those attending will need internet access, web camera and microphone and basic computer proficiency. The course takes roughly 30 hours to complete or six to eight hours per week. The course consists of nine self-paced modules and four workshops.
