The West Central Valley baseball season ended on Monday. Let’s take a look at the 2021 season by the numbers.
This year the Wildcats improved vastly in the base running department. In the shortened 2020 season, WCV had only 39 total bases (TB). In the 2021 season the Wildcats managed to get 126 total bases. That number is likely due to the Wildcats ability to steal bases. As a team they stole 66 bases. This effort was led by Braiden Beane who stole 20 bases on 24 attempts. Blaise Beane was close behind with 18 steals on 22 attempts. WCV also took a big step getting runs. They scored 82 runs on the season vs. 2020 where they only had 14.
WCV will look to take it’s young team and increase their offensive output and get more bases in 2022.
