As Perry Lutheran Homes prepares for the annual 5K event, there will also be another celebration taking place on the same day. 

Marketing Director Mollie Clark says they have a special event planned to acknowledge their 65 years in business. 

“We are having a 65th anniversary community celebration. We serve the community, we are a resource for the community and we’d really like to celebrate with the community. Everybody is invited and encouraged to attend and join us for some food, games, live music, fun and even a 5K run.”

Clark tells Raccoon Valley Radio the events taking place from 10 a.m. to noon on July 31st at the Eden Acres Campus will not only provide celebration and fun for the community but will also help raise money for a good cause.

“We do raise the funds to support local elderly citizens through various organizations that serve them so while a portion helps those at Perry Lutheran Homes that can’t afford to pay for their care we also usually split or share the proceeds in some way shape or form with another organization in the community that serves elders as well.”
