All Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball teams have completed their seasons, meaning the All-Conference selections can be announced. Greene County went 3-9 in the conference and 6-16 overall. Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams had no players chosen to the first all-conference team, but two players were on the second unit and two were on the honorable mention list.
Sophomores Emma Hoyle and Emma Stream were second team selections, while junior Carmyn Paup and sophomore Olivia Shannon were honorable mention.
Hoyle was named as a pitcher. She had a 6-10 overall record and 5.40 earned run average. As a batter, Hoyle hit .333 for the season with a .441 on base percentage and .509 slugging percentage. She had two homers, four doubles, and drove in 20 of the 86 runs the Rams scored this season.
Stream was named as a catcher who had a .973 fielding percentage and she threw out five runners trying to steal bases. At the plate, Stream hit .356 with a .406 on base % and a slugging percentage of .508. She had six doubles and drove in 11 runs.
Paup played shortstop and batted .290 with one home run, one triple, and three doubles while collecting 15 RBI. Shannon was in centerfield and late in the season switch to slap-hitting from the left side of the plate. She batted .317 with all 19 hits being singles. She scored 18 runs.
