The Iowa Department of Public Safety and Adair County Sheriff’s Office announced this past Thursday about an investigation into a body that was found in Adair County. 

According to a press release, the Division of Criminal Investigation and Adair County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation in the southeast corner of Adair County after the body of an adult was found along a rural road this past Thursday afternoon. 

Law enforcement officials are treating the death as suspicious and say there is no known threat to the public from this incident. No additional information is available at this time.
