Greene County high school softball had Saturday off after the South Hamilton Tournament was rained out. Coach Tom Kennedy’s team has just this week left in the regular season before starting Class 3A postseason play on July 6 at Saydel High School in Des Moines against the host Eagles

The Rams are off tomorrow, then play in Harcourt Tuesday vs. Southeast Valley, followed by the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference finale Wednesday in Nevada, before ending the regular season at Ogden on Friday.

The Rams are 4-14 overall and 3-8 in conference play. The batting averages have improved over the course of the season and entering this week Emma Stream, Kaylee Stalder, Emma Hoyle, and Olivia Shannon are all batting above .300 for the season.
