For those rural Dallas County residents, there are important reminders for fireworks usage.
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors allows the use of fireworks in all rural, unincorporated areas of the county as long as they are on private property. Fireworks can be used from June 1st to July 8th and December 3rd to January 3rd between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily.
For the Fourth of July holiday fireworks are able to be used from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4th as well as the Saturday and Sunday before and after the holiday. Fireworks usage outside of these dates is only allowed if a county firework permit has been issued. These rules only apply to residents outside any of the city limits within the county.
