With the announcement that Test Iowa locations for COVID-19 will soon be closed, a new option for testing will soon be available.
Dallas County Health Department Public Information Officer Ann Cochran says the sites will start closing July 16th. Cochran points out there will still be options available for people to get a COVID-19 test.
“Hospitals and clinics will continue to test. Additionally, some new at-home saliva test kits will be available free to Iowans. The Dallas County Health Department will be both a pick up location where you can get a self test and will be a drop off location for completed tests. You can also request a test kit be shipped directly to your home.”
