A deputy responded to a reported structure fire at the Jeff Gilley residence at 2209 230th Street. A livestock hoop building sustained major damage with the loss of approximately 22 sheep and goats. Fire units from Grand Junction, Paton, Ogden and Jefferson all responded to extinguish the fire.
A deputy was advised of an alarm activation at a residence in the 700 block W Avenue. The house and the outbuildings were found to be secure.
A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department in questioning a Grand Junction resident about a possible assault that had occurred in Jefferson.
A deputy assisted the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office with trying to locate the whereabouts or address for a male that was last reported to have lived in Scranton.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
