With the recent completion of the school year, with all districts being affected by the coronavirus pandemic, one Guthrie County school is looking ahead to the upcoming year.

Panorama Schools Superintendent Shawn Holloway says the district will be looking to do things as normal as possible when the school year rolls back around in August. Holloway says some of the measures put in place in the last school year may be utilized next year.

“Really as we go forward, obviously we have to follow CDC guidelines but I think at this point they are in a place where school can look normal at Panorama and that’s really what the goal will be.”

Holloway tells Raccoon Valley Radio some of the measures put in place include virtual learning, and some teachers may keep some of those aspects in the next school year.

“We have staff that see the benefit of being able to have material online, be able to communicate with their class on a virtual level that will for sure continue to do that. There was some, I think, positives long-term that will come out of that in terms of classroom organization and utilizing technology.”

The 2021-22 school year is slated to begin on August 23rd for Panorama Schools.
