For those in-town residents of Minburn, the opportunity to get rid of unused and unwanted items begins today. 

Items that will be accepted today include appliances, cars with titles and other metal items. Minburn Public Library Director Nicole Connick says on June 23rd people can then get rid of couches, televisions, paint and other furniture items. She adds, if the paint is latex it should be dried out. 

Connick tells Raccoon Valley Radio the only items that will not be picked up on either day are tires and batteries. With the second pickup day falling on normal garbage pickup, residents will still be able to set out their regular garbage.
