We’re now just days away from the 37th annual Bike Ride to Rippey and so far there’s no snow in the forecast.
A dry weekend should make for a busy one in Perry as hundreds make their way to town for BRR.
Perry Area Chamber of Commerce executive director Bob Wilson says it’s an exciting tradition many look forward to and asks local residents to be accommodating.
“Please keep the traffic down if you can, we will have that blocked just for the start of the ride. We’re going to have Chuck Scheib’s cannon at 10am fire that off, and a group of them do leave all together. However I will warn or remind you that people are on their bikes all over that day. They leave whenever they really want to. They leave from their buddy’s garage or Fareway or whatever so just keep an eye out and drive slow. Give them an extra three or four feet when you pass them, and just be friendly that day. It’s only one day and I know it’s a bit of an inconvenience but it’s for a good cause” says Wilson.
The Lions Club breakfast starts at 8am at the Hotel Pattee. You can still register for BRR for $30 in advance online or at the Chamber, day of registration increases by $5.
