ADM Tigers softball has been the cover off of the ball as of late, and those good vibrations continued on Monday night in Adel, with the Tigers making quick work of Gilbert by the score of 11-1. ADM moves to 12-4 and Gilbert down to .500 at 8-8.
Senior Brooke Hickey has been putting together some big numbers as of late, and continued her excellence on Monday night as she was able to record three extra base hits in a home run, triple, and a double, while also grabbing a massive six RBIs to her tally. She was able to help pace a Tiger offense that was able to record 12 hits on the night and seeing every single starter grab a base hit. The Tigers were able to see six players get extra base hits on the night as they were able to put up four runs in the third, two in the fourth, and four in the sixth as they were able to score often.
Freshmen Cameron Smith threw six innings for the Tigers, doing a good job of only allow five hits and one run on the night.
The Tigers were originally slated to play Greene County tonight but that game has been forfeited by the Rams, so the Tigers will play tomorrow against Boone in Adel.
