Dallas Center – Grimes girls soccer put together a great run in Des Moines last week during the 2A girls state tournament, finishing as the runner up with a team that played with heart, motivation, and passion as well. DCG finished the season at 15-6. Over the weekend, the Iowa Girl’s Coaches Association put out a list of all-district players, and DCG was able to get three on the first team and one on the second team.
Junior Avery Korsching, senior Emma Angus, and freshmen Kylie Knief were all named to the first team and senior Elena Bartak to the second team on a list that names the top players throughout the state of Iowa.
DCG will be losing eight seniors off of their roster, but will be returning a lot of their key players to the team for next year, as they hope to duplicate similar success as well.
