The Greene County Historical Museum will be open extended hours during the Bell Tower Festival.

The museum, which originally opened for the year on May 1st, will be open today from 2-6pm and tomorrow from 9am-6pm. Executive Director Roger Aegerter invites everyone into the museum, especially since it was closed for virtually all of last year because of the pandemic.

“If you’ve never been to the museum, it’s just kind of a fun place to be. It’s relaxed and you can walk around, and take your time, and you can see things that are historical for Greene County. 99.9-percent of everything in the museum has some sort of Greene County connection.”

Visitors will also see a sneak peek of a new display that will not be ready until next month. The exhibit features Greene County items from the 50s-70s. The museum is also following Greene County Public Health’s recommendations against COVID-19. Masks are encouraged to be worn and visitors should observe social distancing. Admission is free, although free-will donations will be accepted.
