The first Friday Fest of the year made its way into Pattee Park this past Friday, and there were plenty of people out to enjoy the show.
The first Friday Fest of the year kicked off with Rukkus in Pattee Park and featured music, food by the Perry Fire Department and Perry High School Junior Class. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says there were plenty of people out in the park.
“Overall, I think the event went very well, it was very well attended. I think we counted just over 300 at the peak around eight o’clock and so great numbers, great turnout from everyone. It was fun to see kids running around and having fun.”
Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio the fire department and junior class were appreciative of the people who were purchasing the food they had prepared. She says they weren’t sure what to expect from the first Friday Fest of the year.
“We didn’t really know what to expect going into the event if people were more than ready to get out or they were still hesitant but I think that the numbers showed that people are ready to get out and looking forward to these kinds of events. So, overall we were very pleased.”
Pasutti says the next Friday Fest is slated to take place on August 6th.
