The Thomas Jefferson Gardens Board invites everyone to check out their newest addition.

The Gardens recently purchased and installed a new greenhouse around the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center at the intersection of East Lincoln Way and Chestnut Street. The structure was delivered from northeast Iowa this past March. The Gardens Board says several educational programs and activities for different age groups are being discussed, using the new greenhouse.

The “sneak peek” event will be held Friday from 5-7pm. The first 100 people will receive a free plant that started as a seed inside the actual greenhouse. A grand opening and dedication ceremony will be done later this summer. This Friday’s event is free and open to the public.
