The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County recently announced the recipient of their next donation.

The non-profit organization awarded $10,500 to the St. Thomas More Center in Panora. The group is the home to the Catholic Youth Camp, which accepts all youth regardless of their religious beliefs. The camp serves as a place for young people to do adventure activities, along with combining dynamic spirituality and activities at the camp. No child is turned away and the center uses $30,000 of its operating budget for sponsorships to make it affordable for the less fortunate to attend.

The donation from the 10 Squared Women will be used to run water to the camp’s “big field.” This is where a confidence course, zipline, crate stacking and high ropes can be found as part of the outdoor education and activity area. 

10 Squared Women meets on a quarterly basis and all funds that are given to an organization are voted upon by membership and driven by donations of its members and employer matches. Those who would like to learn more about joining the group can click the link below or email them.
