The Perry Chamber of Commerce has announced its plans for the additional funds that were raised for the fireworks display during the multiple fireworks drive fundraisers.

The Chamber held multiple fundraisers to collect money for the Fourth of July celebration in Perry and those events have surpassed the $12,500 goal for the fireworks. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti details the plans for the additional funds.

“Looking at that $4,000 approximately, we are actually going to split that and we are going to have a larger display than originally planned. So, working with the company to see what that looks like, whether it’s a bigger finale, whether there is just a longer show, things like that. I don’t have the exact details of what that’s going to be but maybe it should just be a surprise anyway, but we are definitely adding some more to this year’s show.”

Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio the rest of the money will be used to rollover for next year’s fundraiser.

“I just want to emphasize that this is pretty unheard of to actually be so far in advance and actually go over our goal because normally we are trying to figure out how we are making up the difference.”

Pasutti appreciates the community support for this annual summertime event.
