2:31am: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 block of T Avenue.
10:43am: A deputy arrested Jay Wenger 33 of Beaver for operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device.
11:57am: Jay Wenger 33 of Beaver was booked into the jail for operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device.
12:04pm: A deputy investigated a parking complaint on 320th Street and V Avenue.
12:44pm: A deputy investigated an injured dog in the 1600 block of 305th Street.
6:15pm: Russell Gardner 46 of Panora was booked into the jail for a violation of a no contact order.
7:45pm: Austin Romberg 20 of Newton was booked into the jail for driving while revoked.
Friday, May 28th
8:25am: Christopher Lawrence 41 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for domestic abuse assault 2nd offense.
3:59pm: A deputy removed debris from the roadway on 130th Street near P Avenue.
Saturday, May 29th
9:52am: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on Elizabeth Street, Grand Junction.
12:25pm: Christopher Quirk 38 of Jamaica was booked into the jail for a violation of parole.
2:02pm: A deputy assisted a motorist in the 1000 block of S Avenue.
2:07pm: A deputy investigated a report of someone shooting at another vehicle. The deputy and an Iowa State trooper located Renee Guzman 44 of Paton was sitting in a 2013 Buick Enlcave with heavy front end damage and 3 bullet holes in the front of the vehicle. The other vehicle was located in Grand Junction was occupied by Reed Hillenga 23 of Berwick, Mathew Guzman 22 of Perry, and Manuel Ochoa 29 of Perry. Mathew Guzman admitted that he shot at the other vehicle 3 times but stated that it was in self defense that Renee Guzman rammed them on 220 th Street near Oakland Avenue. Renee stated that they shot at him first on North Elm Street. This case is still under investigation.
5:37pm: A deputy assisted with a civil issue in the 700 block of North Street, Churdan.
10:42pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 200 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
11:42pm: A deputy investigated a complaint of loud music coming from a camper at Spring Lake.
Sunday, May 30th
12:43am: Taylor Kelly 29 of Lake City was booked into the jail for operating while intoxicated 1st offense and possession or carrying of dangerous weapons while under the influence.
3:43pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near A Avenue.
9:24pm: A deputy investigated a car deer accident in the 2200 block of Neola Avenue. Mark Chandler 64 of Grimes struck a deer with a 2011 GMC Terrain causing an estimated 8,000 dollars in damage.
10:12pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on Cedar Street, Jefferson.
11:56pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an accident on North Cedar Street and East Adams Street.
Monday, May 31st
5:35am: A deputy investigated a no contact order violation in the 1900 block of 130 th Street.
10:17am: A deputy investigated a suspicious male on U Avenue near 325 th Street.
10:53pm: The Sheriff, a deputy, Greene County Ambulance, and Grand Junction rescue responded to a medical call in the 200 block of Main Street, Paton.
11:37am: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on Neola Avenue and 270th Street.
3:14pm: A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 1000 block of Sandoe Street, Grand Junction.
9:03pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle in the 2200 block of R Avenue.
10:20pm: A deputy investigated a 911 hang up call in the 2200 block of Terrace Avenue.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
