The Menlo Fire and Rescue Department recently received its new grass truck thanks to a couple of grants.
The new grass truck is a 2021 Chevy 3500 that has been equipped with a number of accessories to help do the work including a skid unit with an ultra high pressure pump with a 200 gallon water capacity and a 10 gallon foam cell.
The truck purchase was made possible by the Guthrie County Community Foundation which gave a grant of $18,620 to help purchase the truck, as well as a MidAmerican Energy grant.
