A successful weekend event will continue throughout the summer in the City of Rippey.

The newly renovated Walt Anderson ballfield had several games played on it this past weekend. A total of eight games were played, round robin style, between the rebirthed Rippey Demons, along with semi-professional teams, including the South Dakota Jackalopes, the Crystal Minnesota Cubs and the St. Michel Minnesota Angels. The Angels ended up being the Rippey Ruckus Tournament winner.

The Friends of Rippey also collected $2,500 of concessions to continue improving the ballfield. 

The Mid-Iowa Baseball League will play an additional eight dates this summer with games to be played on the field, including four double-headers. There will be a total of five games played in June and six more in July. See the full list below for game dates.
