Thursday, April 29th

4:27am: Tosha Hickman requested an officer at 107 East Vest Street for a male refusing to leave her residence. The officer spoke with the male, who eventually left on his own free will.

8:13am: Jessica Hallinan reported a missing vehicle from 207 West Gallop Road. She reported a male staying with her in the hotel had taken the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle a short time later at 301 ½ East Lincoln Way Street and spoke with the male. The officer learned the subject had an Active Arrest Warrant from Polk County for, “1 st Degree Harassment.” Rodney Charles Sheffield, 34 of Des Moines was arrested and transported to Polk County. The vehicle was returned to Hallinan.

8:59am: A+ Towing of Ogden reported receiving a few calls from a subject requesting a tow from 1000 West Adams Street in Jefferson. When he arrives at the address, no vehicle is there to be towed. He believes the caller is from out of state.

9:28am: Casa-de-Ora reported receiving (2) Counterfeit $20.00 Bills at 1409 North Elm Street. The business did not know who used the currency at the restaurant.

4:19pm: Heather Acton reported a Careless Driver on North Grimmell Road. She provided a registration plate number to the officer. The officer spoke to the driver about the complaint.

4:21pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Grimmell Road resulted in Aleksander Simmons of Adel being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

5:05pm: An officer was advised of an Open Door on a residence in the 600 Block of East Adams Street. The officer arrived and found the residence had been secured.

7:08pm: The GCMC requested an officer to administer a Preliminary Breath Test at 1000 West Lincoln Way on a patient involved in a work place accident.
