It’s a busy high school sports day for the Greene County Rams. The school has five events competing at the 111th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending by mid-afternoon. Both Ram track & field squads then head to Carroll Athletic Field for a late afternoon start of the Tiger-Knight Coed Relays.

The boys’ golf team goes north to the Manson Golf & Country Club today. It’s a triangular with Manson-Northwest Webster and Southeast Valley (Gowrie).

Greene County boys’ soccer hosts Des Moines Christian at Karber Field in Grand Junction in a Class 1A top 15 contest. The Rams are 5-2 on the season and winners of four straight while DMC is also 5-2 and winners of five of their last six matches. Greene County is ranked number 11 and the Lions are 14 in the April 20 poll from the Iowa Soccer Coaches Association.
