Guthrie County Hospital will be taking part in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Drug Take Back Day this weekend.
The event will take place from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Guthrie County Hospital Pharmacy. There, people will be able to safely dispose of unused or expired medications in the proper receptacle.
This is a free service and the list of accepted items includes prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, medicated creams, ointments and lotions, liquid medications and pet medications. The list of what won’t be accepted includes illegal drugs and hazardous materials.
