A Jefferson woman was recently sentenced to probation for a forgery incident.
According to court documents, 60-year-old Jill Zito pled guilty to a Class D Felony for forgery. She received a deferred judgement and was sentenced to one year of probation with the Boone and Greene County Probation Services.
The charge stemmed from an incident on September 5th when officers responded to an incident at Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson. Zito was attempting to break a $100 that was marked as “prop money,” which is used in motion pictures, into smaller denominations.
Zito was also ordered to pay over $1,000 in civil penalties.
